Brackets Revealed for 2025 Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational at Walt Disney World Resort

The brackets for the 2025 Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational were revealed today. The three separate multi-team tournaments, each crowning its own champion, will be held at Walt Disney World Resort during Thanksgiving week. The tournaments will take place Nov. 24-28 at State Farm Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Fla. All games will be televised live on an ESPN platform. 

The week’s signature event is the Magic bracket which includes BYU, ranked No. 6 in ESPN’s Way Too Early Top 25 and led by ESPN’s No. 1 incoming freshman A.J. Dybantsa. The Cougars face 2023 NCAA Final Four entrant Miami in the semifinal on Thurs., Nov. 27 (5 p.m. ET on ESPN). The other semifinal matches perennial Big East power Georgetown against Dayton, who has participated in post-season play in four of the last five seasons. The two winners meet for the Magic Bracket championship on Friday, Nov. 28. 

The full 16-team group includes 2025 NCAA Tournament participants BYU, Liberty and UC San Diego. Last season’s NIT participants include Bradley, Dayton and Furman. 

The ADVENTURE BRACKET features Bradley, Liberty, Princeton, Rhode Island, Temple, Towson, UC San Diego and Vermont. The eight teams will each play three games between Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 24-26. 

Match-up Highlights 

  • Rhode Island (Atlantic 10) has never faced Towson (Coastal Athletic Assn.). Both schools are also making their first appearances at ESPN Wide World of Sports. 
  • Liberty (Conference USA) won its only meeting with Vermont (America East) by a 71-61 score on Nov. 19, 2023 at the Myrtle Beach Invitational. The Flames and Catamounts are both making their first appearances at ESPN Wide World of Sports. 
  • Temple (American) has never faced UC San Diego (Big West). The Owls have played twice in the ESPN Events Invitational (2010 and 2019). 
  • Bradley (Missouri Valley) won its only matchup with Princeton (Ivy League) by a 64-41 score on Jan. 1, 1948 in Peoria, Ill. The Braves and Tigers are making their first appearances at ESPN Wide World of Sports. 

The IMAGINATION BRACKET includes Charlotte, Furman, Illinois State and Richmond. The semifinals will be played on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, with the championship and consolation games on Friday, Nov. 28. 

Match-up Highlights 

  • Furman (Southern Conference) holds a 33-22 lead in the all-time series with Richmond (Atlantic 10), though the teams have not met since Feb. 12, 1976, which was the final year in the Southern Conference for the Spiders. Both teams are making their first appearances at ESPN Wide World of Sports. 
  • Illinois State (Missouri Valley) won its lone meeting with Charlotte (American) by a 75-69 score on Dec. 28, 1989, in the Far West Classic in Portland, Ore. Both teams are making their first appearances at ESPN Wide World of Sports. 

The MAGIC BRACKET includes BYU, Dayton, Georgetown and Miami. The semifinals will be played on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, with the championship and consolation games on Friday, Nov. 28. 

Match-up Highlights 

  • BYU (Big 12) and Miami (Atlantic Coast) have split four meetings, with the home team winning each game. The teams have not met since Feb. 4, 1989, with the Hurricanes winning, 107-86, in Coral Gables, Fla. 
  • Georgetown (Big East) has won two of three meetings against Dayton (Atlantic 10). The most recent game was a 61-49 Hoyas win in the NCAA West Regional Final on March 25, 1984 at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. Georgetown was the No. 1 seed in the West, while the Flyers were the No. 10 seed. 

This is the 19th year Walt Disney World has hosted the ESPN Events Invitational at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and the first time three different tournaments been held at the site. All the games will once again be played at State Farm Field House, a venue that has been the site of world-class basketball competitions including NBA games and elite youth tournaments.

There will be no general admission tickets. Fans can select their seats using Ticketmaster’s interactive map.
