ANAHEIM, Calif. – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened at Disneyland Resort in 2019, with an invitation for guests to explore the planet of Batuu in an innovative, land-meets-storytelling adventure. Guests can play roles in their own Star Wars stories through Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, in addition to a variety of shops, dining options and interactive experiences. With movie-accurate starships, fan-favorite characters roaming the land and an immersive audioscape, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is designed to delight guests in a full Star Wars experience.
What’s new: Beginning April 29, 2026, visitors can immerse themselves in different points of the Star Wars saga inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. Black Spire Outpost is rolling back in time several decades, enabling guests to experience multiple eras of the planet’s rich history, including the Galactic Civil War and New Republic, as well as the Age of the Resistance and First Order. Darth Vader, Leia Organa, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker join some existing characters that roam the Outer Rim outpost. Visitors are further transported into the world of Star Wars with the addition of selections of beloved scores from legendary composer John Williams, pulling musical themes from the first six films.
Coming soon: Debuting on May 22, 2026, a new mission featuring Din Djarin, the titular Mandalorian from The Mandalorian, is coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in celebration of the release of Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and Grogu. For the first time, the crew will be in control of the destination, leading to potential adventures on Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor or the bustling city-planet, Coruscant.

- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – This immersive ride experience recruits guests to join the Resistance in a climactic battle against the First Order (offers Lightning Lane access with the purchase of Lightning Lane Single Pass or Lightning Lane Premier Pass*).
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – Batuu visitors fly the Millennium Falcon on a thrilling, interactive smuggling mission with favorite Star Wars characters (offers Lightning Lane access with the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Premier Pass*).

- Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is an ideal spot for hungry travelers to fuel up on galactic grub (Mobile order is available on the Disneyland app**).
- Ronto Roasters offers wraps (including a plant-based option) and specialty beverages for adventurers looking for a delicious pit stop during their journey (Mobile order available).
- Milk Stand offers frosty confections that Luke Skywalker famously drank in the Star Wars movies (Mobile order available).
- Oga’s Cantina feeds travelers searching for exotic concoctions with alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and snacks in a cantina atmosphere (Walk-up availability with traditional standby queue).
- Kat Saka’s Kettle is an eclectic food stall in the market area offering Outpost Mix, a sweet and savory specialty snack made with popcorn.
Shopping:
- Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers – In this bookable experience, guests customize their own legendary lightsaber and continue the way of the Force. Advanced reservations are highly encouraged for this experience.
- Droid Depot – Guests can build their own droid at Black Spire Outpost’s industrial depot. Purchase is required. Walkups from around the galaxy are welcome, no reservations required.
- Black Spire Surplus – A military salvage operation offering supplies from across the history of the galaxy, including Imperial and Rebel items from the Galactic Civil War.
- Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities – This den holds mysterious and one-of-a-kind galactic artifacts collected by a legendary antiquities dealer.
- Creature Stall – Visitors to Batuu can discover curious creatures and critters from across the galaxy – and take home a new friend.
- Black Spire Outfitters – Garments sold at this colorful apparel shop prepare travelers for a galactic adventure.
- Toydarian Toymaker – A whimsical workshop with handcrafted toys and collectibles.
- Resistance Supply – A covert post where travelers can pick up gear that proves allegiance to the Resistance and helps fight the First Order.
- Jewels of Bith – Specially themed souvenirs and items for visitors to commemorate their trip to Batuu.
Entertainment:
- Select Star Wars characters make appearances in the land, including Darth Vader and Imperial Stormtroopers, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Rey Skywalker, The Mandalorian and Grogu, R2-D2 and others.
- The nightly projection show, “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga,” takes guests on a storytelling adventure across the galaxy. Stunning projection effects transform the spires of Batuu near the Millennium Falcon, evoking memories of some of the greatest moments in galactic history as an iconic musical score draws the audience into the legendary story of the Skywalkers.
- On select nights, a nighttime experience titled, “Fire of the Rising Moons,” showcases a different view of the Disneyland Park fireworks display, accompanied by iconic music associated with tales from across the galaxy – including selections from composer John Williams’ Star Wars film scores.
Step right into the story: From the life-sized Millennium Falcon to ancient-looking spires, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is designed for guests to feel like they are real characters in the world of Star Wars. The land was designed with sightlines that evoke cinematic angles. At first glance, guestshave views of wide vistas, then as they explore deeper into the land, their field of vision narrows into tighter spaces – like zooming in for a close-up. The planet of Batuu was specifically created for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, taking design inspiration from Star Wars film sets, ancient open air-markets, original Star Wars concept artwork and more to create an innovative and immersive experience for all.
Did you know?
- Spanning more than 14 acres, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the largest single-themed land in Disney Parks history.
- The experience inside Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers draws inspiration from episodes of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” where Jedi younglings learn to build their own lightsabers.
- Disney Imagineers worked with Lucasfilm to ensure authenticity in every detail of the Millennium Falcon – down to the hoses, pipes, switches and even the stickers on the exterior hull. Imagineers visited Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom to study Falcon film sets and pored over archival Lucasfilm photographs of the ship.
- On Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, guests can unlock a special attraction experience by having both pilots push their control sticks to one end, having each gunner and engineer hold down a lit-up white button, and having everyone then press their activation button. If done correctly, Chewbacca will make an appearance during the adventure instead of Hondo Ohnaka.
