ANAHEIM, Calif. – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, a AAA Four Diamond hotel, is an upscale retreat with a theme and architectural style reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts movement of early 20th century California. Designed to capture the artistic exploration of California’s coastlines with its Monterey pines and redwood forests, the hotel is layered with the memories of the arroyo craftsmen, the mission pioneers and the plein air school of painters. Many of the 947 beautifully appointed guest rooms, including 44 suites, offer breathtaking views of Disney California Adventure Park or Downtown Disney District.

Special offerings for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration 

During the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, beginning May 16, 2025, and continuing through summer 2026, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will “Celebrate Happy” with:  

  • Hearthstone Lounge and GCH Craftsman Bar will offer specialty celebration cocktails including the Honey Gintini. 
  • The Great Hall lobby will feature festive decor such as a 70th anniversary medallion over the fireplace and a confectionery display made masterfully by the hotel’s pastry chefs, and guests may purchase themed treats from the Great Hall Cart. 
  • Hotel guests can arrange to surprise their loved ones with an In-Room Celebration delivered directly to their hotel room. These festively themed amenities and decorations include delicious Disney treats, balloon bouquets, gift items and a fabric door banner. For the 70th Celebration, the Happiest Park Welcome Celebration basket has several festively logoed items and keepsakes. 
  • At Tenaya Stone Spa, guests can luxuriate with sweet treatments including the cake-inspired body treatment, “3 Layers of Happiness,” or the sundae-inspired “Sweetest Celebration” foot treatment. These relaxing themed treatments include the application of quality, deliciously scented products that exfoliate and moisturize. 

Accommodations, amenities and features 

Guests staying at any of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort can enjoy magical benefits such as preferred access to a limited number of hotel restaurant reservations, a variety of hotel guest activities and Early Entry, which offers admission to a designated theme park 30 minutes earlier than the general public to enjoy select attractions, shopping and dining.  

Dining:  

  • Napa Rose is an award-winning, upscale restaurant known for its artfully presented California cuisine, exhibition kitchen and superb selection of regional wines. Currently undergoing an exciting renovation, Napa Rose is slated to reopen in fall 2025 with an exquisite new look, expanded counters where guests can watch the chefs in action, enhanced patio seating and two new fireplaces.  
  • Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is a one-of-a-kind experience featuring personal visits with several Disney Princesses, enchanting activities, a sumptuous three-course breakfast, a private portrait location and premium keepsakes.   
  • Storytellers Cafe serves hearty, homestyle favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with Mickey’s Tales of Adventure character visits at breakfast and brunch. At dinnertime starting May 16, 2025, the new Donald’s Tales of Adventure at Storytellers Cafe offers guests a brand-new evening character dining experience, with Donald Duck taking the lead. Daisy, Goofy, Clarabelle and Pluto will also be featured, along with a new barbecue menu. They will be available for character greetings, photo opportunities and guest interactions. 
  • Hearthstone Lounge is a lodge-like cozy setting, ideal for enjoying cocktails, appetizers and desserts by a crackling fireplace. Holiday Tea with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Hearthstone Lounge will return in 2025. 
  • GCH Craftsman Bar is a poolside eatery, open to the public, featuring shareable dishes, desserts, kids’ meals, craft cocktails, California wines and craft beers. 
  • GCH Craftsman Grill is a grab-and-go spot serving a variety of items from waffles and bagels to salads and burgers. 

Shopping: Acorns Gifts & Goods offers a selection of souvenirs, snacks, sundries and unique Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa apparel, bathrobes, merchandise and more.  

Special Park Entrance: Overnight guests of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa can enjoy direct access to Disney California Adventure Park with a convenient, dedicated entrance. 

Tenaya Stone Spa: Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and inspired by the spirit of nature and Californian craftsman architecture, this full-service spa offers an array of body treatments, facials, massage, salon services and fitness classes on property.  

Pool Areas: Guests may lounge by three pools (Fountain, Redwood and Mariposa), relax in two whirlpool spas or ride along the 90-foot Redwood Tree waterslide. Guests may also choose to reserve poolside cabanas, available for half-day or full-day rentals that include added amenities. 

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa: The hotel is also a Disney Vacation Club resort, with 71 total villas as part of Disney’s innovative vacation-ownership program with kitchens, living and dining areas and other home-like amenities.  

Concierge Lounge: Club-level guests are invited to relax in The Veranda, which is located on the sixth floor and offers a great fireworks viewing spot. Here, guests can enjoy afternoon tea and, in the evenings, mingle over wine and dessert. Plans are underway for a second club-level lounge nearby expected to open in 2026. Inspired by giant sequoias, the new lounge is meant to feel like an “aviary” where guests can relax, rest and “nest” in luxury and hospitality.  

Meeting Space: Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers 20,000 square feet of space for meetings and special events. In addition to the hotel’s 12,000-square-foot Sequoia Ballroom, there are 18 breakout rooms. The Brisa Courtyard provides a tranquil, outdoor setting to meet and mingle under blue skies and shading trees.
