In the spirit of the season, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends will debut new Halloween-themed attire in Town Square, featuring harlequin motifs and swirling confection details in hues of orange, yellow and black.

Can’t miss frightfully whimsical entertainment include the return of “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” daytime show at Disney California Adventure Park and the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular with fireworks on select nights at Disneyland Park. As the resort transitions for the start of the fall season, guests will continue to enjoy the “Paint the Night” parade and “Wondrous Journeys” for a limited time between Aug. 10 – 20, 2026. Plus, World of Color – ONE returns to Disney California Adventure Park for a limited time on Aug. 10 through the Halloween season, offering a celebratory journey through 100 years of Disney storytelling.

Scarily splendid touches across Disneyland Resort set the scene, from the giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A., to attraction overlays that bring extra Halloween flair to both parks. Favorite attraction transformations return to Disney California Adventure Park with Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, while Disneyland Park welcomes back the Haunted Mansion Holiday inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

For those looking for an extra spooky experience, Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour is a one-of-a-kind stroll through eerie tales across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, available at an additional cost with valid theme park admission.

Returning in 2026, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit* invites guests to test their sleuthing skills by purchasing maps to locate hidden Disney-themed pumpkins across both parks and the Downtown Disney District, along with receiving a special keepsake. Autumnal adornments, themed eats and seasonal shopping will bring the spirit to the Downtown Disney District. Visitors can catch movie nights screening fall flicks on select nights and live music performances on the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage and lawn.

Themed merchandise is on full display for the pumpkin season, including the Mickey Mouse Family Halloween and Cutie Ghost Collections, featuring colorful designs of attire and headwear blending Halloween fun and beloved Disney characters. Food fans will delight over must-try sweet and spooky bites across the resort such as the Oogie Boogie Lemonade at Smokejumpers Grill and Heatwave Pizza from Alien Pizza Planet.

The spirited celebrations continue with Halloween offerings at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort including new décor inspired by Disney and Pixar’s “Monster’s Inc.” at Pixar Place Hotel and Haunted Mansion-inspired touches at the Disneyland Hotel, seasonal confectionery displays at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disneyland Hotel, themed treatments and salon services at Tenaya Stone Spa, Halloween-inspired cocktails at Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel and trick-or-treat trails for overnight guests on select afternoons. In the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Great Hall Cart will offer a selection of themed bites and treats for purchase.

Guests can enjoy limited-time character dining experiences at the Hotels of Disneyland Resort, including Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween at the Disneyland Hotel, along with Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast Buffet and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Reservations will be available on Disneyland.com later this summer.

Honoring Día de los Muertos at Plaza de la Familia

Inspired by Pixar’s “Coco,” Plaza de la Familia returns to Disney California Adventure Park from Aug. 21, through Nov. 2, 2026, in honor of Día de los Muertos with vibrant decor, festive entertainment and activities commemorating the everlasting bonds of family.

Lively music leads the way for this year’s event with “The Storytellers of the Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” street show returning, featuring performances of beloved songs from the Pixar film and classic Mexican tunes by a traveling troupe of storytellers. The seasonal splendor is on display with returning popular offerings including live mariachi music at the Paradise Garden Bandstand and a memory wall, where guests can add notes of remembrance for loved ones.

When it’s time to re-fuel, guests can enjoy a variety of menu items inspired by Mexican cuisine at Paradise Garden Grill, including the returning favorite chilaquiles carnitas torta. New merchandise from The Disney Pixar Coco Collection will arrive in early September with colorful apparel, accessories, headwear and more inspired by the film.

In addition, visitors to Disneyland Park can honor Día de los Muertos with a vibrant installation in Frontierland near Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, which will be adorned with skeleton figurines known as catrinas and calacas, colorful marigolds and other décor items traditionally displayed on ofrendas.
