Joe Schott
President, Walt Disney World Resort (Effective August 3, 2026)
Joe Schott is President of Walt Disney World Resort, Americaʼs largest single-site employer. A longtime Disney leader who grew up in Orlando, he oversees a workforce of approximately 80,000 cast members across four theme parks, more than 25 resort hotels, two water parks, a sports complex and a themed retail, dining and entertainment district.
Schott leads the resort during a period of significant investment and growth, including the development of new lands and attractions at Magic Kingdom, Disneyʼs Hollywood Studios and Disneyʼs Animal Kingdom. He is focused on supporting cast members, delivering exceptional guest experiences and building on the strong foundation and ongoing investments shaping the future of Walt Disney World.
Prior to this role, Schott served as President of Disney Signature Experiences, where he led a dynamic business that included Disney Cruise Line; Disney Vacation Club; Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa; Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions; Storyliving by Disney; and Golden Oak. Under Schottʼs leadership, Disney Cruise Line continued a period of growth that included the launches of the Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure, the brandʼs first entry into the Asian market.
A more than 40-year Disney veteran, Schott has held leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Disney destinations in Florida and around the world. He served as President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort and previously supported Tokyo Disney Resort through Walt Disney Attractions Japan. He also played a key role in the revitalization of the Disneyland Paris parks and hotels as Chief Operating Officer.
Schott began his Disney career in operations at Walt Disney World as a Jungle Cruise skipper.
