Meet Angela
Angela was hired into an entry-level hourly role in Guest Services, where she served as a Disneyland Resort expert and enhanced the guests’ experience by providing information about the services available in the theme parks. In this role, she gained invaluable problem-solving and world-class guest service skills.
Angela Learns New Skills
Angela later trained to become a VIP Tour Guide, hosting visiting groups and providing the best possible personalized experiences for them. In this role, Angela earned tips in addition to her hourly rate.
Next Steps
Further looking for growth opportunities in her department, Angela expressed interest in becoming a working lead. She was given additional opportunities to support her managers, the team and the operation.
Leadership Opportunities
After taking advantage of leadership training programs, such as Emerging Leaders, Angela was promoted into a salaried leadership role as a stage manager. In this role, she serves her team of cast members, making sure they have what they need to provide an unforgettable experience to park guests.
